2007-2008 Major Accomplishments
Literacy Network has successfully accomplished the following 2007-2008 goals as described below:

• Provided instructional services to 1,158 adults and families for a total of 30,821 hours.
• Helped learner achieve a total of 4,701 functional literacy goals.
• Mentored 271 adults to obtain, retain, or advance employment.
• Guided 14 new citizens through their citizenship exams.
• Provided instructional services to 9 adults who attained their GED or HSED
• Coached 32 students to enroll training programs or Post-Secondary education
• Assisted 195 parents to become more actively involved in their children's education.
• Celebrate with learner Youa Lor for her 1st place award in The Key Newspaper's Readers as Writers competition.
• Began offering a new program of Integrated English and Civics Education to help learners better understand community services and orgnizations.
